La cuvée de Claude 2019
Claude is back and at the top of his game! Clean and powerful. Drinkability meets complexity. A wine to keep joyfully discovering. A handmade minimal-intervention wine made with one thing in mind - obtaining the highest possible quality. As simple as that.
The taste notes are in the region of perky, velvet stone fruits and plum with a crisp nose balanced in subtle hints of oak after spending 1.5 years in barrels. A wine speaking of its origin. The maturity of the sun meets the freshness and complexity of the mountains overlooking the sea.
A wine meant to live and be alive just as the vineyards it comes from. I.e. store and drink it at around 15C. Natural sediment or slight bubbles may appear, but does not affect quality. Just decant as you should always do with your reds. Let it stand upright for a couple of days before drinking so it pours clear as it is supposed to. I am repeating myself but, this is not a sterilised wine so treat it with respect.
65 % Grenache Noir and 35 % Mourvèdre
No filtering or fining. 23 mg/l SO2 total. Nothing else.
15 % Vol / 750 ml
Bottled the 23/11/2020 - released the 22/02/2020
1739 produced - 12 bottles left
